Our Certifications
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
Third-party verified data on a product's environmental impacts across its life cycle. CS EPDs quantify impacts including embodied carbon, helping project teams evaluate and compare products and support green building goals.
EPD Optimization Assessment
A third-party verified assessment demonstrating a reduction in a product’s embodied carbon and other environmental impacts through product optimization. Our Optimization Assessment for Acrovyn® Sheet quantifies the measurable impact reductions achieved through these optimization efforts.
Cradle to Cradle Certified
A multi-attribute, third-party certification administered by the Cradle to Cradle Institute. The C2C certification embodies a design philosophy that addresses five product categories: material health, material reutilization, renewable energy & carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness.
FSC® C007385
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international nongovernmental organization that promotes responsible forest management. By choosing FSC-certified products, you are supporting responsible management of the world’s forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. CS offers wood products that are FSC-certified.
Health Product Declaration (HPD)
A transparent disclosure of a product’s material ingredients and associated health information. CS HPDs help project teams understand what’s in our products and support healthier, informed material selection and green building programs.
Declare
A product transparency label that discloses material ingredients and identifies whether products contain chemicals on the Living Building Challenge Red List. CS Declare Labels provides an easy-to-understand resource for evaluating material health and making informed product selections.
Red List Free (RLF)
Red List Free identifies products that do not contain chemicals on the Living Building Challenge Red List — substances considered among the most harmful to human and environmental health. Our Red List Free Declare Labels demonstrate CS' commitment to avoiding chemicals of concern and advancing healthier materials.
Intertek: Clean Air Gold
Clean Air Gold certification verifies that products meet stringent requirements for low VOC emissions, including the CDPH Standard Method, supporting healthier indoor air quality.
